Outside Sales Account Manager Position

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities to grow volumes within the agency.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships across various sectors to ensure long-term volume growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their portfolio of accounts to ensure seamless day-to-day service delivery. They will maintain close communication with UK departments and agencies across the European network to meet customer needs effectively.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills to manage business opportunities successfully.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Follow up on sales leads to secure new business.
  2. Search for new business opportunities and sales leads using various platforms.
  3. Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through regular interactions, including face-to-face meetings, MS Teams meetings, and phone calls.
  4. Ensure smooth account handovers to the customer service team and other agencies through effective communication and stakeholder management.
  5. Create a positive support network for customers through effective teamwork and communication with other agencies.
  6. Manage customer invoice disputes and perform root cause analysis to prevent repeats.
  7. Generate new sales leads or explore new verticals beyond existing sales leads.
  8. Produce weekly/monthly/quarterly updates on key data, analysis of volume gains and losses, sales activities, and business opportunities/threats from other lines.
  9. Meet targets for cross-selling opportunities and value-added services.

Key Competencies and Qualifications

  • Technical expertise in developing specialist supply chain networks.
  • Experience in a sales environment with proven development skills, such as sales and marketing strategy planning.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and solutions-driven approach with sound decision-making skills.
