Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at Trial Balance in Exeter.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial and management reporting for our organisation, as well as supporting non-finance staff and management in their decision-making process.

The role requires a wide range of skills, including financial data entry, preparing management and statutory reports, and working closely with the CEO and trustees.

  • Purchase and sales ledger maintenance
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • VAT return submissions
  • Preparing payroll
  • Management accounts preparation
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Attending board meetings and offering strategic business analysis
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Working with external accountants for the annual audit

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £50,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a competitive benefits package, free parking on site, and flexible working hours.

This is a great opportunity for a fully qualified Accountant with excellent knowledge of the charitable sector, or an experienced Finance Manager looking to take on a new challenge.
