We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Administrative Governance Liaison Specialist at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring high standards of administrative governance across various inpatient wards.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:00 (subject to change). The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as the patient's first point of contact on the ward(s), greeting and signposting patients and relatives, processing patients using CareFlow, and liaising with colleagues to facilitate a smooth and timely stay within the hospital.

About the Role

The Float Ward Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of patient care by embodying the Trust's core values at all times. You will be responsible for setting up effective systems for processing patients, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the patient's first point of contact on the ward(s)
  • Greet and signpost patients and relatives
  • Process patients using CareFlow
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure a smooth and timely stay within the hospital
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records

Salary and Benefits

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong organizational abilities. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but not essential.
