About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Operations Manager to join our Depot Leadership Team in the East Region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the performance of five of our Depots: Coventry, Nottingham, Normanton, Sheffield, and Peterborough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the day-to-day management and leadership of cost, service, and quality Compliance management of Depot Operations in several key sites.
  • Deputise for the Area Manager, making decisions on their behalf and providing clear and direct leadership to the Depot Quality Managers and shift managers.
  • Responsible for the Cost, Quality, and service of the operation, with a focus on delivering strategic improvements and delivering business growth.
  • Lead our health and safety message, promoting a culture of safety and well-being within the Depots.
  • Work in tandem with Depot General Managers to ensure Watchtower KPI performance actions are in place and evidence plans for improvement.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to make decisions on behalf of the Area Manager.
  • Excellent people engagement and mentoring skills to gain trust and affect change within organisations.
  • Ability to assess the success and performance of operational changes through management information.
  • Experience in managing teams, with a focus on development and succession planning.
  • CPC holder desirable, with an understanding of H&S legislation and ideally NEBOSH certified.
