About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Service Manager to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Deputy Service Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Manager in the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Manage and develop a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement care plans for individuals, ensuring their needs are met and they receive the best possible support.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of service users.
  • Participate in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips, promoting independence and enabling service users to make their own choices.
  • Provide varying levels of personal care, ensuring the dignity and well-being of service users.
Requirements
  • NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willingness to work towards Level 3.
  • Senior Support Worker experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure.
  • Valid driving license, as regular travel to service user locations is required.
  • Ability to provide personal care and support service users with complex needs.
