Exciting Opportunity for a Deputy Service Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Service Manager to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Deputy Service Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Service Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Service Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
  • Plan and manage rotas, ensuring that staff teams are adequately covered.
  • Ensure compliance within the service, including adherence to care plans and policies.
  • Encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensure the safety of service users, including the management of risk and the implementation of safety protocols.
  • Follow care plans for each individual, ensuring that their needs are met and their rights are respected.
  • Take service users out into the community, participating in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
  • Varying levels of personal care, including support with daily living tasks.
Requirements:
  • NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willingness to work towards Level 3.
  • Senior Support Worker experience, with a proven track record of supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • Must be resilient and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drivers are essential due to the nature of the role.
  • Candidates must be happy to provide personal care and support individuals with varying levels of need.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £25,293 - £28,413 per annum.
  • A full-time permanent contract, with 40 hours per week.
