Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and caring Deputy Service Manager to join our Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs in Llandrindod Wells.

About the Role: As a Deputy Service Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Manager and having joint responsibility for managing the team and the service. You will plan rotas, manage staff teams, ensure compliance within the service, and encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
  • Planning rotas, management of staff teams,
  • Ensuring compliance within the service.
  • Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensuring the safety of the service users.
  • Following care plans for each individual.
  • Taking service users out into the community.
  • Participating in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
  • Varying levels of personal care.

Requirements:

  • NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3
  • Senior Support Worker Experience
  • Must be resilient.
  • Drivers ESSENTIAL due to the nature of the role
  • Candidates must be happy to do personal care.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary: £25,293 - £28,413
  • Full-time 40 hours a week
  • Permanent contract
  • Monday-Friday with one weekend day shift every 4 weeks (Sat or Sun)
