Fleet Administrator Job Description

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of a company's fleet of vehicles. This role involves coordinating vehicle maintenance, repairs, fuel management, and driver compliance. You will work closely with drivers, maintenance staff, and other departments to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of repairs and inspections.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance costs to optimize fleet efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with vehicle safety regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement fuel-saving strategies to reduce fuel consumption and costs.
  • Manage fuel cards and fuel records to track usage and optimize fuel efficiency.
  • Coordinate driver training and compliance with driving regulations.
  • Track driver performance and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Manage driver records and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Analyze fleet usage data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with vehicle suppliers, maintenance providers, and fuel suppliers to ensure optimal fleet performance.
  • Prepare and analyze fleet performance reports to inform business decisions.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
  • Bachelor's degree in transportation management, logistics, or a related field.
