Directorate Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Directorate Manager to lead the newly formed General Internal Medicine Directorate at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide operational management leadership for the Directorate, working in partnership with Clinical Directors and Matrons.
  • Ensure the Directorate's services meet quality, activity, and financial targets.
  • Plan, monitor, and report on performance against activity targets and other service objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust policies, including Infection Control and Standing Financial Instructions.
  • Manage and respond to operational issues, and lead service redesign and change management initiatives.
Requirements
  • At least three years of recent general management experience in the Acute setting in the NHS.
  • Proven record of proactive management to achieve key performance targets.
  • Demonstrable experience of service redesign, business planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Ability to analyse issues and make judgements on a wide range of general management subjects.
  • Well-developed IT skills to manage and report on complex performance management information.
Person Specification
  • First degree or professional academic qualification.
  • Masters degree and/or equivalent experience.
