Directorate Support Manager

We are seeking an experienced Directorate Support Manager to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Division of Medicine & Therapies, you will provide operational and business management support to the Directorate, working closely with the Directorate Manager, Clinical Director, and Matrons.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in ensuring the operational performance of the Directorate is effectively managed to meet agreed Trust and Divisional objectives.
- Work with the Directorate Manager to achieve Trust in-patient, outpatient maximum waiting time targets, emergency access, and national cancer targets.
- Monitor patients waiting via Trust Reporting systems, analyze information, and take relevant action to ensure no patients breach the targets.
- Monitor performance against activity targets and other service objectives.
- Work with the Directorate Manager, Clinical Directors, Matrons, Departmental managers, and the Finance team to set and deliver the Group objectives, in line with Directorate, Divisional, and Corporate targets and strategies.
- Previous NHS management experience, including developing business cases, managing staff, managing projects within appropriate timescales, managing complaints, budget management, and experience of leading and achieving change in a complex environment.
- Ability to build, develop, and motivate an effective team, influence/persuade others with a positive approach and respect for work colleagues, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work prioritized and work to tight deadlines, computer literate, ability to analyze information and evaluate situations to draw appropriate conclusions, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
