Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Clinical Assessment Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Assessment Specialist, you will be responsible for providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP) while ensuring a personalized, inclusive, safe, and empathetic service for the service user.

About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for Adult Nurses, Mental Health Nurses, and Learning Disability Nurses to make the most of their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a leading, multi-national employer. As a Clinical Assessment Specialist, you will have the autonomy to manage cases to conclusion, assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, and have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence, and team meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports (PBR).
  • Manage caseloads from end to end, including delivering assessments and managing cases to conclusion.
  • Assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, and cognitive impairments.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic.
  • 1+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.

What We Offer:

  • Basic salary of £38,500 - £41,500.
  • 5% retention bonus, rising to 10% quality and retention bonus.
  • OTE: £45,650.
  • Hybrid full-time and part-time working hours available.
  • Training options: 12 weeks (full-time), 14 weeks (4 days per week), and 17 weeks (3 days per week).
