Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to lead our clinical services at Velindre Cancer Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing direct clinical and line management of our acute assessment unit, ambulatory care unit, and other clinical services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical assessment and direct the management of patients on a daily basis.
  • Access research and use information systems to inform clinical decision-making.
  • Lead and carry out relevant research within practice.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and guidelines.
  • Manage and develop clinical staff, including appraisal, CPD, and performance.

Requirements

  • Professional registration as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
  • Level 7 education (Master's degree) relevant to the area of clinical practice.
  • Advanced specialist knowledge of patient pathways and independent prescribing qualification (if required for the role).
  • Experience of working in a clinical leadership role and managing complex clinical services.
  • Ability to travel throughout the organisation and work flexible hours.
