Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Capita Health Assessment Advisory Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting initial reviews, paper-based, face-to-face, video or telephone assessments to evaluate how a claimant's health condition or disability affects their day-to-day life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments to evaluate the impact of health conditions or disabilities on daily life
- Observing and reporting on an individual's ability to carry out activities
- Analysing and interpreting clinical information and supporting evidence
- Creating comprehensive reports for each claimant
- Developing clinical knowledge and learning about less familiar health conditions
Requirements:
- One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist or paramedic
- Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN
- Excellent observational and communication skills
- Ability to work quickly and produce reports in a timely manner
- Solid experience with using IT and Microsoft Office, as well as remotely accessing systems
What We Offer:
- A competitive basic salary of £38,500 (pro rata for part-time) plus up to 5% training bonus, rising to £39,900 (pro rata for part-time) on achievement of remote approved status plus up to 10% bonus
- 25 days' holiday (rising to 27 after 5 years) with the opportunity to buy extra leave (pro rata for part-time)
- Annual professional registration fee reimbursed and supported revalidation
- The opportunity to take a paid day out of the office, volunteering for our charity partners or a cause of your choice
