Job Summary

The Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychiatric rehabilitation expertise to the Outreach and Recovery Team (ORT) and the Cefn Yr Afon Unit.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Provide clinical psychiatric rehabilitation expertise and leadership to a defined multidisciplinary outreach and recovery team and an inpatient rehabilitation team.
  2. Provide specialist assessment and clinical management of patients aged 18 and over with mental health problems under the ORT and inpatients at Cefn Yr Afon.
  3. Provide medical liaison and advice regarding patients to local consultants and GPs as necessary.

Key Requirements

  • Comprehensive training and experience in psychiatry
  • Higher training experience in psychiatry Approval
  • Approved Clinician Approval

Desirable Skills and Abilities

  • Competence in current assessment and treatment
  • Competence in risk assessment and management
  • Understanding of relevant clinical legal and policy issues
