Job Summary

The Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychiatrist to join their team. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychiatric rehabilitation expertise to the Outreach and Recovery Team and be responsible for the Cefn Yr Afon Unit.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Provide clinical psychiatric rehabilitation expertise and leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
  2. Assess and manage patients with mental health problems.
  3. Provide medical liaison and advice to local consultants and GPs.

Key Requirements

  • Comprehensive training and experience in psychiatry.
  • Higher training experience in psychiatry.

Person Specification

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Current GMC registration.
  • MRC Psych or equivalent.
  • S.12 (2) Approval.
  • Approved Clinician Approval.

Desirable

  • Relevant Clinical qualification.
  • Additional postgrad Qualification.

Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Competence in current assessment and treatment.
  • Competence in risk assessment and management.
  • Understanding of relevant clinical legal and policy issues.
