Behavioural Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a Behavioural Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Dogs Trust Company Limited. As a key member of our centre, you will be responsible for assessing the behaviour of dogs entering our care and designing and implementing Behaviour Modification Programmes to enhance their chances of rehoming.
About the Role:
- Assess the behaviour of dogs to identify potential behaviour needs, in line with our Standard Operating Procedures.
- Design and implement Behaviour Modification Programmes and training plans to support individual dog welfare and requirements.
- Oversee and support the implementation of training and behaviour plans by colleagues.
- Monitor the progress of individual training and rehabilitation programmes and maintain detailed records of each dog's progress.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced individual with a thorough knowledge of dog behaviour and welfare, including understanding the principles underlying learning. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to handle delicate situations sensitively and professionally, and experience in handling difficult dogs. Above all, you will be passionate and committed to the work of Dogs Trust.
What You Need to Know:
A full, clean, manual driving licence is essential, as driving will be a part of the role.
