Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise a small team of Logistic Operators, focusing on teamwork, productivity, and quality assurance.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve store operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, resolving day-to-day difficulties and addressing their needs promptly.
  4. Monitor and control stock levels, inventory management, and reporting requirements.
  5. Co-ordinate and manage store procedures, adhering to Defence policies and guidelines.
  6. Provide on-the-job training and new employee inductions, enhancing team capabilities and performance.
  7. Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment, upholding high standards of housekeeping and organisation.
  8. Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, fostering a culture of respect, trust, and open dialogue.
  9. Identify and address potential issues that may impact service delivery or client relationships, taking proactive steps to resolve problems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. C-Class Drivers Licence, enabling safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  2. Proven experience in a similar stores/supervisor role, demonstrating leadership and management skills.
  3. Able to work independently or as part of a team, showcasing flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Proficient in using the MILIS system, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  5. Results-driven with a focus on problem-solving, collaboration, and achieving successful outcomes.
  6. Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of motivation, energy, and commitment, handling multiple priorities and responsibilities.
  7. The incumbent must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1.
  8. Must be an Australian Citizen, due to the security clearance requirement.
