Key Responsibilities- Assist the Deputy Company Security Controller in coordinating overall security activities and ensure efficient and effective personnel security within the organization.
- Process vetting applications for staff and contractors, providing support and advice on all types of vetting.
- Monitor existing clearances and proactively ensure renewals are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
- Advise and update on changes in policies and procedures in respect of vetting.
- Ensure personnel security risks are effectively managed by conducting rigorous checks and applying ongoing personnel security controls throughout the organization.
- Act as a point of contact for staff and contractors for specific vetting and general security enquiries, ensuring they are dealt with effectively and efficiently, taking into account data protection and other security considerations.
- Support security incident reporting, follow-up actions, and sharing learning from experiences for any security near-misses, and recording details of these.
- Provide project-specific security support for key projects.
- Be a point of contact for site-specific security responsibilities, providing general security assistance to the Security Department as and when required.
- Microsoft Office suite of programmes, specifically an experienced user of Word and Excel.
- Previous experience in a similar security role would be beneficial.
- Attended DISA Training.
- Must be able to gain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
