We are currently working with an excellent organisation in Cambridge who are looking to hire a Health and Safety Officer on a permanent basis.
The role will be working on either a full-time, term time role (47 weeks per year) or a full-time role (52 weeks per year).
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing health and safety advice for audits and investigations.
- Delivering health and safety training for staff to meet legal obligations.
- Maintaining health and safety training records and ensuring staff are up to date.
- Developing, reviewing, and implementing policies and procedures to meet legislative requirements.
- Conducting fire risk assessments and ensuring policies are followed throughout the buildings.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a similar health and safety role.
- IOSH qualified and working towards NEBOSH or similar.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Able to interpret legislation and explain it to others in simple terms.
