Your role will involve supporting progress towards independence in managing positive mental health, offering one-to-one support as required, and promoting safety by undertaking risk assessments and reviewing customers' needs. You will also regularly assess the needs of customers, write, and update support plans, and develop professional relationships with customers, using appropriate and clear communication to ensure their personal choice, privacy, and dignity are maintained. In addition, you will deliver small group activities to promote recovery and well-being. To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience of working with adults with mental health needs, the ability to relate and empathise with people with mental health issues, and the ability to work effectively in highly pressured situations. You will also have experience with developing and maintaining accurate records and support plans, and basic knowledge of Microsoft packages and internet communications. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards is also required.
