About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Asset Engineer to join our team on the HS2 project. As a key member of the SCS Railways team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tunnel construction works.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement plans for mobilizing and preparing the site for construction.
  2. Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure timely preparation of risk assessments, inspection and test plans, and permits.
  3. Coordinate day-to-day site activities to ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently.
  4. Conduct quality checks in accordance with ITPs and record results.
  5. Provide support and assistance to other teams as needed.

FRC Responsibilities

  1. Write task briefing sheets and RAMS for FRC-related works.
  2. Track and record steelwork and formwork installation on site.
  3. Check the quality of reinforcement installed and follow relevant ITPs.
  4. Complete quality check sheets for reinforcement installation.
  5. Manage the delivery of concrete to site and ensure prepour checks are completed.
  6. Draft temporary works briefs for designs required for base slab, headwall, and pillar installation.
  7. Set out lines and levels for FRC installation and record as-built checks.
  8. Generate permits to work for FRC-related activities.
  9. Familiarize yourself with and commit to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.

Other Responsibilities

  1. Update the 4-week programme on Aphex and the Collaborative Planning Board.
  2. Manage the supply chain to ensure efficient delivery and compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  3. Perform ad-hoc duties as required, including briefings and attendance at the Start of Shift.

Requirements

  1. Degree or equivalent in civil or environmental engineering or a similar field.
  2. Prior experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects, especially in reinforced concrete structure construction.
  3. Relevant CSCS Card.
