Autism Support Professional

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to work with students aged 11-16 in secondary schools. In this role, you will provide essential one-on-one and group support to students with autism, helping them navigate school life and reach their potential in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized support plans.
- Assist students with daily tasks, such as organization, time management, and self-advocacy.
- Help students develop social skills, including communication, relationships, and conflict resolution.
- Monitor and report student progress, identifying areas of strength and need.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with autism or similar neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment.
