Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom Royal HaskoningDHV Full time

Royal HaskoningDHV is a leading marine environmental consultancy with over 30 years of experience in supporting coastal and marine clients. We have developed a uniquely experienced team of experts who specialise in the consenting, permitting, and licencing for complex coastal and marine infrastructure developments and operations, both within the UK and internationally.

We were at the forefront of marine consenting when we carried out the first Habitats Regulations Assessment on a major port project in 1994. Since then, we have continued to be at the cutting edge of marine consenting, including working with Natural England to develop and implement marine Biodiversity Net Gain.

Our UK Environment team consists of over 150 staff members who are known for adding value and making a positive difference for our clients through a proactive, solution-oriented approach, respect for regulators, and achieving consent for proposals in and around protected environments.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious, and talented person with excellent communication skills and technical ability in relation to the consenting of coastal and marine infrastructure developments. The successful candidate will assist with the delivery of complex environmental assessment projects, including the coordination of multidisciplinary teams.

About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in delivering EIAs and the marine consenting process, ideally for ports and harbours-related projects and/or coastal management.
  • They should have a good understanding of how marine development can progress successfully through the complex coastal and marine regulatory regime in relation to relevant international and domestic legislation and policy.
  • Experience working with various stakeholders is essential.
  • Robust project management and financial management skills are also required.

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as flexible working models to ensure a balance of family and working life, including part-time options. Our company promotes a supportive and collaborative environment that sets us apart from others in the industry.
