Educators Wales is a leading provider of education services in Wales, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Undy Primary School.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where they will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, cooking, serving, and clearing away of food.

We are looking for someone who is a team player, able to effectively communicate with staff at all levels, and possesses a CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification (training will be given if not already achieved). The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work at any reasonable time during the opening hours of the catering unit.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, cook, and serve food in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the catering unit.
  • Assist with cleaning processes, including washing up and disposing of waste.
  • Work under the supervision of the cook and/or assistant cook.
  • Be prepared to work additional hours as required due to absenteeism or increases in demand for meals.
  • Possess a CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification (training will be given if not already achieved).

The estimated salary for this role is £20,500 per annum, based on experience.
