At Educators Wales, we are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Undy Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, cooking, serving, and clearing away of food. They will also be required to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the catering unit.

We are looking for someone who is a team player, able to effectively communicate with staff at all levels, and possesses a CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification (training will be given if not already achieved). The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work at any reasonable time during the opening hours of the catering unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of food.
  2. Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the catering unit.
  3. Work under the supervision of the cook and/or assistant cook.
  4. Be prepared to work additional hours as required due to absenteeism or increases in demand for meals.
  5. Possess a CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification (training will be given if not already achieved).

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £20,000 per annum, depending on experience.
