About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Mitsubishi Chemical Group. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring schedules, budgets, and deliverables are met for new major chemical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and lead the implementation of project processes and procedures, guiding the client team through project reviews such as 3D modelling reviews and Hazard studies.
  • Act as deputy for the Senior Project Manager where required.
  • Provide support to the project controls team when developing project reports, and the project commercial team in managing the contractual responsibilities of the client.
  • Aid the change management processes of the project, minimising the impact and necessity of change.
  • Support the discipline engineers in the prompt resolution of technical design reviews, clarification, and waiver requests from contractors.
  • Closely monitor and expedite the closure of outstanding actions with appropriate design disciplines and other members of the project team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in engineering and projects, including front-end, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and operation phases.
  • Significant experience working in the Chemical, petrochemical, or oil and gas industry.
  • Recognised accreditation from a professional body, such as Engineering Chartership, is preferred.
  • Experience with Hazard Study processes and 3D modelling reviews, as well as working on a major EPC project within the industry, would be advantageous.
