About the Role
The Project Engineer will play a key role in the success of our new greenfield chemical plant in Louisiana, USA. As part of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring schedules, budgets, and deliverables are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement project processes and procedures, guiding the client team through project reviews such as 3D modeling reviews and Hazard studies.
- Act as deputy for the Senior Project Manager where required.
- Support the project controls team in developing project reports and the project commercial team in managing contractual responsibilities.
- Aid change management processes, minimizing the impact and necessity of change.
- Support discipline engineers in resolving technical design reviews, clarification, and waiver requests from contractors.
- Closely monitor and expedite the closure of outstanding actions with design disciplines and project team members.
Requirements
- Maintain working relationships with team members and 3rd party project members.
- Display great organizational and leadership skills.
- Show strong project management skills.
- Be internationally mobile regarding working location.
Qualifications/Experience
- Proven experience in engineering and projects, including front-end, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and operation phases.
- Significant experience working in the Chemical, petrochemical, or oil and gas industry.
- Recognized accreditation from a professional body, such as Engineering Chartership.
- Experience with Hazard Study processes and 3D modeling reviews.
