We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Nurse Specialist to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' mental health needs, develop and implement personalized care plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to promote recovery and well-being.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members, to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Risk Management and Contingency Planning: Identify and mitigate risks associated with mental health conditions, develop contingency plans to ensure patient safety, and provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Education and Training: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with best practices, research, and evidence-based treatments in mental health care.
- Qualifications and Experience: Possess a Mental Health Nurse Qualification or Social Work Qualification, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health care. Current NMC/HCPC registration is required.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge and Understanding: Possess a strong understanding of mental health conditions, treatment options, and recovery principles, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
