Job Title: Health Care Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our clinical team at Wellside Surgery. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Phlebotomy and blood sample collection
  • New patient registration checks and routine BP measurements
  • Spirometry, ECG, and Doppler tests
  • Weight checks and urinalysis
  • Simple dressings and nail clippings
  • Hearing tests and verruca treatment
  • Assisting in research studies as required
Administrative and Housekeeping Duties:
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and results books
  • Preparing samples for collection and stock ordering
  • Ensuring consulting and treatment rooms are adequately stocked
  • Preparing and downloading 24-hour BP and ECG data
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy prep room
  • Assisting in collection and disposal of clinical waste
Person Specification:
  • Good standard of general education
  • Recognised HCA qualification
  • IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude
