Dodd Group, a privately owned family business established in 1947, is renowned for its exceptional services within the building services sector. With an impressive track record, we offer comprehensive design, installation, and maintenance solutions across various industries.

Due to significant contract growth, we require additional fully qualified Commercial Gas Engineers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be based in the North West, Yorkshire, and South Yorkshire regions, focusing on high-end supported living projects.

The successful engineers will undertake repair, maintenance, and installation of gas, plumbing, and heating systems, ensuring the highest standards are met. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing heating engineering and plumbing duties, including reactive repairs, servicing of boilers, and associated works.
  • Issuing notices and certificates as per relevant regulations regarding gas safety.
  • Adhering to manufacturer's instructions when servicing, repairing, or installing appliances.
  • Providing information for updating records following service and testing, and maintaining accurate Gas Safety records using electronic documentation.
  • Obtaining quotes for stock from authorized suppliers, materials required for works through the approved order system.
  • Participating in the on-call system for 24/7 emergency coverage across our property portfolio.
  • Driving company vehicles safely and courteously, ensuring they are maintained to appropriate standards through the compliance supervisor and fleet office.
  • Completing relevant training and certifications as required by regulations as needed.
  • Maintaining regular contact with site supervisors and works coordinators to obtain instructions and resolve working problems.
  • Recording completed works and maintaining accurate records of work carried out, including measurements and calculations.

We also welcome experience in renewables (Ground/Air source heat pumps/systems) but do not consider it essential.

This role involves overtime, weekend availability, and working Monday to Friday. Preferred qualifications include a City & Guilds certification, Driving Licence, and CSCS accreditation. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of plumbing experience.

Estimated salary: £42,000 - £47,000 per annum. Benefits include a company car, pension scheme, free parking, and on-site parking.
