Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Secondary PRU Youth Worker to join our team at Prospero Teaching Careers.

This is an Outreach role, where you will deliver education to the most vulnerable students in the community, supporting those with additional needs and mental health issues.

The pupils are aged 11-16 years old, with EHCP plans and additional needs. They have often experienced trauma, neglect, or chaotic home lives.

Your role is to build strong relationships with the young people, acting as a mentor and role model. You will use mentoring skills to help individuals engage with education.

You will support pupils in the classroom and through vocational activities outside of it.

This position is open to experienced professionals and those with a strong background in mentoring children and young adults.

£28,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver education to vulnerable students in an Outreach setting
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and act as a mentor and role model
  • Support pupils in the classroom and through vocational activities
