Summary:
**Position**: Specialist Mentor Mental Health
**Location**: Manchester

**Qualifications**: Membership in specific professional bodies with relevant qualifications, such as British Psychological Society (BPS), BACP, BABCP, Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), etc.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Provide One-to-One Support**: Offer specialised support to students to recognise barriers to learning and develop strategies for managing them effectively.
- **Address Barriers**: Assist students in coping with anxiety, stress, concentration difficulties, time management, and workload prioritisation.
- **Tailored Support**: Tailor support to each student's needs, providing ongoing assistance or phased support as necessary.
- Chartered Membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- Membership with the BACP or accreditation (MBACP)
- Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration for Mental Health Nurses
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration for various roles such as Arts Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, or Social Worker
- Full Clinical Membership of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, among others.

Additional Information:

- Working hours vary based on student needs and caseload.
- All support workers are paid on a self-employed basis.
- Part-time, freelance position.

Education and Certification:

- Bachelor's degree preferred
