About the Role:


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dynamic Night Support Specialist to join our Horn Lane Young People’s service in Ealing. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with specific needs to live independent lives within their communities.



Job Overview

This is a waking night support worker role that requires a valid Right to Work for the UK. The successful candidate will work on a rolling rota system, which involves nights on and nights off, equating to approximately 38 hours per week. Shifts are typically 12 hours long, allowing for a good balance between work and personal life.


As a Dynamic Night Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring continuity of support at night, maintaining safety and security, and providing seamless support alongside our daytime team members. You will also engage in key work sessions, assessments, and risk management to achieve optimal outcomes for our customers.



Key Responsibilities

  • Building strong relationships with our young people and fostering a positive atmosphere
  • Collaborating with colleagues to manage the service caseload and handle administrative tasks
  • Conducting innovative key work sessions to drive progress toward customer goals
  • Managing risks associated with customers while promoting a culture of ‘positive risk taking'
  • Supporting daily living activities, such as budgeting, cooking, and establishing routines
  • Assisting customers with maintaining a healthy environment and engaging in cleaning and hygiene practices
  • Recording and reporting incidents, managing files, and collaborating with partner organizations
  • Engaging customers in service design and delivery, adhering to Look Ahead policies, and contributing to staff development


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • NVQ Level or equivalent, combined with relevant sector experience
  • Strong social interaction skills, including communication, empathy, and conflict resolution
  • Able to apply the right balance of care and support depending on customer needs
  • Fundamentally calm, resilient, and adaptable
  • Organized, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality results
