Customer Service Representative II

About the Role:
The Customer Service Representative will play a key role in maintaining meaningful business relationships with internal and external customers at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a customer-oriented professional, you will be an advocate for our company and strive to drive growth through exceptional service.
A Day in the Life:
- Provide professional communication via phone and email to customers and internal support teams, ensuring timely and accurate assistance with order placements and status inquiries.
- Utilize sales order entry systems, websites, and knowledge base resources to provide accurate and timely assistance with order placements and status inquiries.
- Follow established service quality standards and meet order and inquiry processing time standards, including talk time, after-call work, and order accuracy.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two years of related customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with personal computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills:
- Solid understanding of Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One Software and SAP Software.
- Ability to repetitively type, have considerable interaction on the telephone, and regularly view a computer monitor.
- Ability to demonstrate judgment, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with customers, as well as handle confidential and/or proprietary information.
- Initiative and organization skills are extremely valuable to ensure good customer service.
