Job Description

This Primary Teaching Assistant position requires an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our specialist SEND provision. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with primary-aged students with special educational needs, supporting their learning and development in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities and Skills
  • Support the delivery of learning activities, including preparing materials and resources as needed.
  • Assist with behaviour management, promoting positive relationships and behaviours among students.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with students, colleagues, and parents, ensuring seamless collaboration and information sharing.

Requirements and Benefits

  • Experience working with children with additional needs, preferably in a school or care setting.
  • A strong understanding of child development theories and practices.
  • Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, or other communication methods – training can be provided.
  • A comprehensive induction programme and ongoing professional development opportunities.
