Primary Teaching Assistant

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEND provision in Kendal. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in supporting primary-aged students with special educational needs.
- Deliver learning activities and provide individualised support to students with a range of special educational needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop effective strategies for student support.
Key Responsibilities:
- To work effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality education and care to students.
- To maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and development.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of individualised education plans.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with additional needs is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work flexibly and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, or other communication methods – training can be provided.
Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience) and opportunities for professional development.
