Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Consultant to join our growing business. As an HR Consultant, you will provide HR expertise across the whole HR spectrum to a range of clients, focusing on providing value-added HR that is bespoke to their business.

Main Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Assess the culture of each client and work alongside them to ensure delivery of their HR agenda, both strategically and operationally.
  • HR Solutions: Identify gaps and opportunities to deliver bespoke HR solutions to clients.
  • Client Projects: Take responsibility for specific client projects, including grievances, disciplinary issues, TUPE, and redundancy.
  • People Change: Initiate and support with people change and transformation.
  • Talent Acquisition: Support senior leaders to attract, retain, and develop talent, through talent acquisition and talent management plans.
  • HR Policies: Implement and maintain a wide range of HR policies and practices.
  • Team Management: Accountable with the team of consultants, for the monthly sales targets and results.
  • New Business: Support our CEO to build a strong pipeline of new business and take the lead in conducting new business enquiry calls or visits.
  • Employment Law: Provide employment law and pragmatic advice tailored to the client's business.
  • Team Development: Day-to-day management of members of the Advisor or HR Admin team, including regular 1-2-1s, compiling personal development plans, and setting objectives.
Requirements
  • HR Experience: You are likely to be working currently or previously as a Senior HR Generalist in a professional HR Consultancy or as a self-employed HR Consultant, applying your significant HR knowledge, working alongside senior decision makers.
  • Commercial Focus: You will be business savvy and understand the requirement to weigh up the employment and commercial needs.
  • Employee Relations: Strong employee relations knowledge and experience.
  • Change Advocate: An advocate for change, bringing fresh ideas to our clients.
  • Communication Skills: Confident and outgoing with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • HR Expertise: You will bring deep and demonstrable HR expertise, alongside the ability to shape policy and strategy.
  • Organisation Skills: Super organised with the ability to prioritise.
  • Delegation Skills: We have a great team to provide support, so delegation skills are a must.
  • Team Player: Be a team player – and yet able to work on your own when the need arises – you will need to be comfortable in working remotely, with occasional visits to our office.
  • Flexibility: Flexible and adaptable to meet the challenges of the business.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Office: Competent user of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint.
