Job Summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Peripatetic Team in Northamptonshire. As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload, providing support and guidance to individuals, children, carers, and families, and promoting independence and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex caseload, including individuals, children, carers, and families, and provide support and guidance to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Use professional judgment to assess risk and accountability in decision-making and sustain engagement with fluctuating circumstances and capacities.
  • Employ a range of interventions to promote independence, provide support and protection, and take preventative action to ensure safety.
  • Lead in managing positive intervention to prevent deterioration in health and wellbeing, while safeguarding people at risk of abuse or neglect.
  • Undertake assessment and planning for safeguarding in complex cases and support colleagues in utilizing safeguarding skills.
  • Play a leading role in practice development, promote a learning culture, and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Deliver formal professional reflective supervision and provide guidance and advice on casework to less experienced qualified staff.
  • Take on the role of practice educator for students and ASYE assessor and supervisor for newly qualified social workers in the team.
  • Support personal and professional development through the supervision and appraisal process.
  • Record analysis and judgments clearly and maintain up-to-date case work records on the database as required.
Requirements
  • CQSW, DipSW, BA Social Work or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Management qualification at least at Level 4.
  • At least 1 year's experience of supervising professional staff.
  • Knowledge of relevant childcare legislation.
  • Ability to travel independently to all required areas.
