Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our dynamic Cellular Pathology Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical advice to clinicians on the appropriateness of tests and timescales. Additionally, you will perform routine and specialist biomedical investigations, participate in quality control and quality assurance procedures, and contribute to the upkeep of the Diagnostic Cytology section.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Undertaking routine and specialist laboratory techniques in the processing of Diagnostic Cytology (Non Gynae)
  • Providing technical advice to clinicians on test appropriateness and timescales
  • Performing routine and specialist biomedical investigations
  • Participating in quality control and quality assurance procedures
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the Diagnostic Cytology section
