Job Title: Biomedical Scientist - Laboratory Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for processing clinical specimens for microbiological testing and interpreting the results of laboratory tests and diagnostic processes.

About the Role:

  • Work as an integral part of the laboratory team to undertake clinical technical investigations for the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of disease.
  • Coordinate, validate, and authorise the day-to-day technical activities of a section of the laboratory to help with quality management activities of the laboratory.
  • Contribute towards the training of technical, scientific, and medical staff.

Requirements:

  • Be a HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist with a minimum year of experience working in a diagnostic Microbiology lab.
  • Have a flexible attitude towards work with strong IT, communication, and organisational skills, and an acute attention to detail.

Working Hours: Core hours are from 09:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays on a rotational basis.
