About the Company:
English Touring Opera (ETO) is a leading charity that creates and delivers high-quality opera and music theatre productions to diverse audiences across the UK. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Participation Manager to join our team.

Job Description:
The Learning and Participation Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing ETO's Learning & Participation (L&P) strategy, which aims to engage and inspire audiences through innovative and inclusive programming. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of creating and delivering creative projects with and for young people, as well as experience in managing budgets and leading teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement ETO's L&P strategy, in collaboration with the General Director and leadership team.
- Curate ETO's extensive programme of L&P projects nationwide, including the commissioning of new work and supporting Arts Council England's 'Let's Create' strategy.
- Manage and cultivate ETO's relationships with schools, music hubs, libraries, and community groups.
- Provide specialist knowledge relating to ETO's tours and artists, including liaison with the General Director and Music Director on casting and appointing creative teams.
- Ensure that inclusivity is at the heart of ETO's L&P work.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role or related field.
- Proven track record of creating and delivering creative projects with and for young people.
- Experience in managing budgets and leading teams.
- Professional musical or drama training.
- Experience commissioning new work (opera, music theatre, or drama).
- Experience working with music hubs.
- Good connections with artistic practitioners working in educational and community settings.
- Knowledge of the education sector, including the SEND sector.
- Experience of fundraising for educational and community arts projects.
- Experience of recruiting and managing personnel for arts projects.
