Job Title: Outdoor Learning Educator

Institute for Outdoor Learning is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team in an outdoor environment. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a small team that is dedicated to providing a safe and secure learning environment for our pupils.

About the Role:

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest and experience in outdoor learning and can engage pupils in learning and develop their skills. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will participate in activities such as bush craft, land management, bee keeping, forest school, hiking, climbing, and paddle boarding. You will also provide guidance and support to pupils in developing their knowledge and skills in these areas.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be fully committed to learning and high-quality teaching. You must be able to recognise opportunities and face challenges while maintaining a sense of humour and care for young people. A Disclosure and Barring Service check at Enhanced Level is also required.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents, a passion for outdoor learning, and excellent communication skills.
