Respiratory Care Specialist

Our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and skilled NHS Specialist Health Nurse to join our Respiratory Support Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and making a direct impact on patient health and well-being.
The successful candidate will have significant post-registration experience in respiratory medicine and be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) relevant to the speciality. You will also have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary and cross-agency work environment and be able to demonstrate understanding/experience/willingness to be a practice-based supervisor/assessor as detailed in the NMC.
In this role, you will have opportunities for continuous professional development and training, as well as the chance to advise on admission and discharge pathways to support flow through the acute service. You will also develop and implement personalised care plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care, and provide leadership and mentorship to junior nursing staff.
We offer a competitive salary package of around £43,041 - £70,305 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including flexible working arrangements and access to ongoing professional development opportunities.
