About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled Archive Cataloguer Specialist to join our team at Sja's West. As a key member of our archives department, you will play a crucial role in cataloguing our vast collection to file level, following ISAD(G) standards.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Catalogue archive collections to file level, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records
  • Develop collection authority records, finding aids, and research guides to facilitate access and discovery
  • Collaborate with curatorial and learning colleagues to deliver inclusive public outputs, including talks and social media content

About You:


To succeed in this role, you will require:



  • A degree in a related academic discipline and a recognized postgraduate qualification
  • Demonstrable experience of cataloguing large and complex archive collections to ISAD(G) standard
  • Significant knowledge of databases, specialist archive cataloguing systems, and archival collection preservation requirements
  • A clear passion for archive collections and experience of contributing to a program of public events
