Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Preservation Specialist to join our team at nationalmuseums.org. The successful candidate will be responsible for the acquisition and preservation of Western Manuscript collections from 1601-1950, with a focus on the 19th and early 20th centuries. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a unique and valuable collection, and to contribute to the development of our museum's programmes and activities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To acquire and preserve a major collection of manuscripts and archives.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to develop public and academic programmes, including exhibitions and educational events.
  • To maintain accurate and detailed records of all collections, ensuring that they are properly catalogued and made accessible to researchers.
