Job Summary

Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd. is seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team. As a Wind Turbine Technician, you will be responsible for the routine preventative maintenance on wind turbines, mechanical, electrical, gearbox, and hydraulic systems. You will also be required to perform unscheduled maintenance, carry out retrofits, and handle emergency breakdowns and major component exchanges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on wind turbines, mechanical, electrical, gearbox, and hydraulic systems.
  • Carry out unscheduled maintenance, retrofits, and emergency breakdowns and major component exchanges.
  • Lead a team of technicians to ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Replace major turbine components, such as generators and gearboxes.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Assist in all areas of site operations.
Requirements
  • Relevant formal qualifications, minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical, etc.) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry.
  • Ideal two years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment, such as wind farms, power stations, industrial process plant, or similar heavy engineering maintenance environments.
  • Valid driving license.

  • IT proficient on MS Suite.
