About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Product Development to join our team at Hd6. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving our Residential New Build strategy and contributing to our position as a leader in the low-carbon energy market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Roadmap Development: Develop and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with market and customer needs.
  • Market Expertise: Act as an expert advisor on energy-related technologies, such as Future Homes Standard (FHS) and Part L.
  • Team Leadership: Lead virtual teams in product development, concept engineering, and management.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to support commercial decision-making.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, financial, and operational standards in product development.
Requirements
  • Proven Track Record: Proven ability to manage complex workloads and high-profile projects.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of energy and construction markets, value chains, and policy developments.
  • Leadership Skills: Successful track record in leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinker with a strong capability for solving business challenges and offering robust recommendations.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong experience in commercial modelling and financial business case development.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and navigate a highly pressurized environment.
  • Competitive Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of competitors, propositions, and emerging technologies in the UK energy and construction markets.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in M&E, Construction, New Build, or Metering sectors.
  • Project Management: Project management skills.
  • Technical Expertise: Technical expertise in energy solution technologies for application in UK homes.
