1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide one-on-one support to a Year 3 student with Autism in a supportive Primary School in Hillingdon, West London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to the student, assisting in their educational and social development.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and classroom teacher to develop and implement learning plans and interventions.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes the student's independence and wellbeing.
  • Utilise effective communication and behavioral strategies to facilitate the student's engagement in class activities.
  • Offer emotional and social support, helping the student build vital life skills.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the student's needs are met.
Requirements:
  • Experience or qualifications in supporting children with Autism or Special Educational Needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to adapt to the unique learning styles and needs of the student.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in training related to Autism and special education.

This is a temporary position starting from September, through until July 2025, offering the chance to make a real difference in a young person's life while gaining valuable experience in the field of Special Education.
