Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Advisor to join our team at BTO Solicitors LLP. As a Risk and Compliance Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the firm adheres to Anti-Money Laundering regulations and efficiently manages conflicts of interest during the new business intake process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable anti-money laundering laws and regulations, international financial sanctions, and professional conduct rules.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to manage conflicts of interest and mitigate risks associated with high-risk jurisdictions, politically exposed persons, and regulated and non-regulated activities.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide recommendations to senior management on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant compliance rules and regulations, and ensure the firm's policies and procedures are aligned with industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in anti-money laundering and conflicts management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to confidently handle low to medium complexity matters with minimal supervision.
  • Competence in handling more complex financial crime and risk matters.
