Position: Risk and Compliance Advisor
Location: Hybrid
Hours: Full Time (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) – 12 Month FTC
Our Compliance team is currently recruiting a Risk and Compliance Advisor for a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The role will ensure the firm adheres to Anti-Money Laundering regulations and efficiently manages conflicts of interest during the new business intake process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable anti-money laundering laws and regulations, international financial sanctions, and professional conduct rules.
- Manage conflicts of interest during the new business intake process.
- Develop and implement effective compliance strategies to mitigate risks associated with high-risk jurisdictions, politically exposed persons, regulated and non-regulated activities, and methods used to facilitate money laundering.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant compliance rules and regulations, and ensure the firm's compliance program is aligned with industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Strong background in anti-money laundering and conflicts management.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to confidently handle low to medium complexity matters with minimal supervision.
- Competence in handling more complex financial crime and risk matters.
- Understanding of relevant compliance rules and regulations, risks associated with high-risk jurisdictions, politically exposed persons, regulated and non-regulated activities, and methods used to facilitate money laundering.
